Adopt a Labrador Retriever (short coat)

Labrador Retriever (short coat) Dog

Kenya the Dog needs a home

When Kenya sees someone she knows, she does a happy dance, wiggling around and folding her body in half. Then she'll sit at your feet and ask to be petted. Born in 2006, Kenya came to the sanctuary from a Utah shelter. Here at the sanctuary in Kanab, she and her trainers have been working hard on some behavior issues. Although she is calm and friendly when meeting people on a leash, she is protective of barriers and can seem a bit fierce on the other side of a fence or gate. She has bitten before, so she needs a very understanding person who is willing to work with her on her barrier issues. Although she loves to play with toys and with people, she does not get along with other dogs, so she would do best as an only pet.Kenya is looking for a home with a dog-savvy person (or people) who can see her potential and will continue to work with her. She would be thrilled to meet you if you think she might be a good fit!Kenya is part of our Single Pets* program! That means that she is eligible for a free flight home and waived adoption fee!*Single pets do best as the only dog or cat in the home.
